Heshmat Mohajerani is Iran’s most accomplished football coach in history. After being appointed as the head coach of the Iranian Youth National Football Team in 1971, his team became the undisputed Asian Champions for four consecutive years. In 1974, he steered the Iranian Mens National Team to the gold medal in the Tehran Summer Games. Two years after that, 1976, he built the national team that went on to become Asian Champions. The same team qualified for the olympics in Montreal and for the first time in its history, Iran qualified for the second round of the olympic competition. Iran’s improvement and presence in the Argentina 78 World Cup was only evident under the helm of Heshmat Mohajerani.

Additional accomplishments include coaching the UAE Youth and Mens National Teams, as well as, the Omani Mens National Team, where he contributed considerably to the development of football in both nations.

Heshmat Mohajerani is currently engaged in planning to inaugurate an international football school in the city of Dubai.
